Dear Colleagues,

As the election fever is over and the new government is preparing to take the charge, lets discuss something very interesting particularly for ours community. This election brought something into notice of common public, that was ignored by almost all the Indian national/state government in the past while it has always been termed a key factor for industrialization (or for become export oriented nation) by pro-economy intellectuals. Yes, my friends, BJP the party of the new government has included IPR/Patents in its manifesto that has been recommended/released by PAAi. Following is a snapshot of the points for your reference.

Point#1
create courts specially equipped to deal with IPR cases.
[Page No.: 13, Para: Institutional Reform – Administrative, Judicial, Police and Electoral (Judicial)]

Point#2
evolve a national network of specialized universities having expertise in complementary domains like Forensics, Arbitration, IPR, International Law, etc.
[Page No.: 13, Para: Institutional Reform – Administrative, Judicial, Police and Electoral (Judicial)]

Point#3
We will embark on the path of IPRs and Patents in a big way.
[Page No.: 30, Para: Services – Driven by Quality and Efficiency (Business and trade)]

Point#4
create an ecosystem for multi-country and inter-disciplinary collaborative research, and establish an Intellectual Property Rights Regime which maximizes the incentive for generation and protection of intellectual property for all type of inventors.
[Page No.: 35, Para: Science and Technology – India Innovates and India Leads]

Lets hope for a new and positive development for the IPR/Patents industry.
